Emerick (48) Pennville was charged with a Level 6 felony operating an all-terrain vehicle while intoxicated and causing serious bodily injury. Robert H. Langenkamp Jr. (68) Portland died as a result of a head injury he sustained after falling off of the ATV he was a passenger on. Langenkamp was care-flighted to a hospital in Fort Wayne and later passed away.

Emerick was driving a 2018 Polaris Ranger east on Division Road just west of CR 200 East with Langenkamp in the passenger seat. Langenkamp, Emerick’s father-in-law, instructed him to turn north onto CR 200 East as he approached the intersection.
