(5-6-24) Defiance Police arrested a city woman this week wanted for attempted murder and other charges in Van Wert County.
Summer Raye Jones (34) was arrested around 1 a.m. Thursday on multiple warrants from that county for charges of attempted murder, felonious assault, aggravated assault and domestic violence.
She was transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
On Friday at 10:56 a.m. Van Wert County Sheriff’s Deputies served a warrant issued by the Van Wert County Common Pleas Court, on charges of Attempted Murder, Felonious Assault, Aggravated Assault, Domestic Violence. Summer Raye Jones of Defiance was transported to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.

Thursday, April 4 – arrested Summer Raye Jones, (34) of Van Wert for domestic violence and felonious assault after an incident in the 300 block of N. Race St.
Jones had appeared in Van Wert County Municipal Court on the felonious assault charge in early April when she was released on bond with electronic house arrest.
