
(4-14-24) According to the Findlay Police Department a motorcyclist, Gage Klopp (27) of Findlay reached up to 125 mph in a chase with police Sunday afternoon in Findlay that began around 1:15 p.m. on S. Blanchard St. near Blanchard Avenue. Klopp violated multiple traffic violations, which included not having a visible license plate and failing to stop at a stop sign.
When a patrol officer initiated a traffic stop, the driver failed to stop and began fleeing at high speeds of out of Findlay into Hancock County that lasted about eight miles before the officer lost sight of the motorcycle.
Klopp is currently under Findlay Municipal Court (FMC) probation and has a GPS ankle monitor. FMC Probation was able to assist in identifying Klopp as the operator of the motorcycle. The suspect was located by his GPS ankle monitor.
Klopp was located on foot and was booked into the Hancock County Justice Center on $2,500 bond and has been charged with a third-degree felony charge for failure to comply and a fourth-degree misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.
