(3-28-24) This past week in Rockford, Illinois a horrific stabbing rampage took place in which four people lost their lives and five others were seriously wounded.

Good Samaritan hailed as hero for fighting off woman’s attacker in Rockford stabbing spree

A Good Samaritan hero was a part of helping one injured women from the stabbing.

Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana said that if Keith Fahrney hadn’t intervened, Lindsay Craig likely would have been killed. She is currently in serious condition at a local hospital.

Fahrney received 8 staples in the back of his head where he was stabbed and suffered a slash on his cheek.

Fahrney told ABC News he didn’t consider himself a hero.

“I would expect anybody to help anybody out at that at that point in time. A lot of lot of people today will just pull up their cameras and take a video. We gotta stop living in that world. We gotta start helping people.”
