As a result of the tornado activity last night multiple transmission lines are down. City crews have been out throughout the night and have restored 75% of the power. The remaining northeast quad remains without power as crews work to restore the multiple circuits that are down. Celina Electric estimates most power should be restored by the end of the business day today. Please only call with emergencies at this time the city crews are aware of the power outages.
UPDATES:
Officials with the Mercer County Emergency Management Agency say a tornado touched down in rural Celina Thursday night..three people sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result.
The EMA estimates touchdown began in the area of State Road 49 and Skeels Road, near the Indiana-Ohio state line.
Logan County Sheriff has confirmed that mobile home parks in Russels Point and Lakeview took a direct hit.
Logan County Emergency Management Agency confirmed that a destructive tornado has gone through the Lakeview area.
(3-14-24) March not usually known for tornado problems….but today according to the National Weather System in Wilmington, Ohio at least one has hit the Stateline area.
The entire area was first issued a severe thunderstorm warning, which turned into a tornado warning. Structural damage has been reported in Mercer County.
