(3-7-24) Adams Central Community Schools posted a public notice today about Wednesday evening’s threat of violence toward the schools.

The notice informed people that the FBI worked with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office after receiving a threat that said, “I’m shooting up the school,” yesterday, which was traced to an Adams Central student.

Investigators suggested the school be closed on Thursday so a full investigation could take place.

The notice said that this morning, law enforcement determined the threat was not a credible threat to safety and the student who made the threat had been removed from school until further notice.

The school said all after-school events will take place as scheduled and school will be in regular session tomorrow.
