(3-5-24) Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies have charged Marcus Walton (34) of Berne with drunk driving after they say he was driving at 117 mph on U.S. Highway 27. 

Deputy Clayton Henkle was on routine patrol between Berne and Monroe Friday when he tracked a 2012 Chevy Cruz speeding southbound. 

Henkle turned around and pulled the vehicle over without issue. 

Walton, told Henkel that he was driving fast because of some personal issues. 

Walton was taken back to the sheriff’s office where he was later charged with operating while intoxicated, operating while intoxicated causing endangerment and reckless driving.
