(2-27-24) Last night the Coldwater Village Council named Kevin Wynk as the new Coldwater Police Chief. Wynk replaces Jason Miller who resigned earlier this month, but will remain with the department in another roll.
Wynk first became a patrolman at Coldwater in 2012 after graduating from the Lake Campus Police Academy. He would rejoin the Coldwater Police Department in 2019 after having served as a Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputy. Joining Wynk at that time was his K-9 Franko when the Commissioners allowed him to transfer to with Wynk to Coldwater at no cost.
