Mercer County Grand Jury…No Indictments Will Be Issued In Celina Police Officer Involved Shooting

(2-20-24) On August 25, 2023, there was an officer-involved fatal shooting that resulted in the death of Corey C. Andrew. The Celina Police Department requested the assistance of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) to investigate this matter which involved two Celina police officers. On February 15, 2024, Special Prosecuting Attorney Eva J. Yarger presented the results of BCI’s investigation to the Mercer County Grand Jury. The Mercer County Grand Jurors chose not to issue any indictments from this matter.
