(12-21-23) Yesterday afternoon at 3:46 pm Van Wert County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an area of Sycamore Street in the City of Van Wert. A Deputy observed that a subject on a bicycle was spotted and that was wanted on an active warrant for their arrest. The subject fled from law enforcement and eventually abandoned his bicycle and continued fleeing on foot.

The subject was not located. Deputies were assisted by Van Wert City Police.
