(12-13-23) The Parkway Board of Education at its December meeting held tonight has hired outgoing Celina City Schools Superintendent Dr. Ken Schmiesing to be the Parkway’s interim Elementary principal until current principal Tracy Trogdlon returns from medical leave.

Schmiesing announced in September he would be retiring as the Superintendent at Celina at the end of December. At that time he said would be working to to become a deacon in the Roman Ctaholic Church.

Schmiesing’s hiring was not posted as part of tonight’s agenda on the school district web site.
