(11-10-23) Penguin Point announced that all of their remaining restaurant locations will close permanently this weekend.
Penguin Point posted the news on Facebook, thanking everyone for 73 years of support.

The last six stores will close this weekend: Two in Warsaw and one each in Auburn, Wabash, Columbia City and North Manchester.
The restaurant chain began as a carhop drive-in on June 6, 1950, and was only open during the summer.
The modern corporation was formed in 1961 and expanded over the years to 13 restaurants in northern Indiana, a catering company and a restaurant equipment company.
Penguin Point’s claim to fame was its Tenderloin sandwich, developed in the early 1950s by the company founder, Wallace E. Stouder Sr.
