
(11-6-23) Jackson Frantz, a deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested after a complaint was filed charging him with domestic violence.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an incident involving one of its deputies by Sidney Police Department.
An unidentified woman filed a police report Monday afternoon alleging that Deputy Jackson Frantz had assaulted her early on Sunday morning. Upon interviewing the victim and additional witnesses, Frantz was served a complaint charging him with domestic violence.
Sheriff Jame Frye said in a news release that Frantz has been an employee with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office since January 2019..
“During his employment, Frantz has been an exceptional employee and has served as a Corrections Officer, Deputy assigned to the hospital and his current duties as assistant Deputy dog warden.
Deputy Frantz has been relieved of his duties and placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case”.”
Frantz is set to appear in Sidney Municipal Court on Tuesday.
Frantz was arrested and reported to be in the Auglaize County Jail, but a record search for him came back empty at site..
