(11-2-23) The Van Wert Police Department is looking for Larry P. Andrus Jr. (48) of Van Wert for Murder, Voluntary Manslaughter, Involuntary Manslaughter, Strangulation, and Felonious Assault.

A Van Wert Common Pleas Court grand jury has returned an indictment in the case against Andrus, Jr.

On September 30, 2023 the Van Wert Police Department was called to Ohio Health Van Wert to investigate a reported suspicious death. Police learned Roy D. Watts (59) of Van Wert was deceased following an incident at his residence, 314 S. Vine St. Van Wert, Ohio.

An autopsy was performed by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office who ruled the death a Homicide.
