(10-17-23) The Jay School Board reviewed the proposed agreement, which calls for average teacher raises of 7.5%, during its meeting last night.
The board plans to vote on the proposed agreement, along with wage increases for administrators, support staff, bus drivers and substitute teachers, during a special meeting at 5 p.m. on October 23rd.
Jay Classroom Teachers Association had already approved the agreement last week.
Summary of the Tentative Jay Corporation Teacher Agreement 23-24
- Average Teacher Raise: 7.5% – Lowest raise 5.5%.

Starting teacher pay increased 7.5%.
- 4% raise for all Extra Curricular Activities employees
- Adds 12 positions to the ECA Schedule for Elementary Basketball compensated at $1,285 (Level VII).
- Teachers must complete the school year in order to be eligible to receive the match dollars. The 403b match contribution will be made by Jay School Corporation in July of each year.
