The mission of the Cornerstone Chapel is to strengthen the spiritual foundation of Mercer County residents and visitors by providing a venue that enhances collaboration and partnership among all local churches and the community. The structure will consist of a shelter house area on one half and a chapel area on the other. These two will be utilized for various events such as weddings, worship groups, and family gatherings.

Cara Muhlenkamp, Mercer County Fair Manager

“This project is fully community-funded, and we are relying on businesses and families to contribute towards this project. We are still fundraising for the facility that will eventually serve as a worship area and shelter house for our community. I am ecstatic and grateful to be part of the planning stages and look forward to seeing people utilizing the new facility to its fullest potential.”

The committee for the Cornerstone Chapel consists of Cara Muhlenkamp, Bruce Swonger, Hank Kaiser, Carey Welker, and Tom Wale.
