Detective Steve Yoder

(10-16-23) Celina Police Department Detective Steve Yoder after serving 25 years in law enforcement is retiring today Detective Yoder served in Celina for twenty two years and was a member of the Coldwater Police Department for three years.

According to a statement on Celina PD’s Facebook page –

Detective Yoder has left a large impression upon his fellow coworkers and the citizens he served.

While this is a big loss to the police department we wish Detective Yoder all of the best and much happiness in retirement!

In 2003-04

Celina Police officers, including Steve Yoder, were involved in the apprehension of fugitive Jerome Bargo and received certificates of recognition from FBI officials during ceremonies held at the Richardson-Bretz Memorial Building.

Bargo, who had eluded authorities since 1988, was taken into custody October 17th, 2003, at the Club Cafe, 107 S. Main St., after a caller reported that Bargo who was featured several times on “America’s Most Wanted” television show was at the Celina establishment.
