(10-11-23) The Mercer County Health District (MCHD) will offer a drive-thru flu shot clinic on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023. Flu shots will be available from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. Those who attend the clinic can get a flu shot without leaving the comfort of their cars.

The MCHD asks that you bring all insurance cards and complete the screening and insurance forms prior to the clinics. The forms are available at the Health Department and on our website at http://www.mchdohio.org.

Vaccines available at this year’s clinic include High-Dose for those 65+ and Standard Quadrivalent for those 6 months and older. All vaccines protect against two A strains and two B strains of the influenza virus. Vaccines will be available while supplies last.

MCHD will bill all contracted private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. Section 317 or Vaccines for Children (VFC) vaccine is $20 for self-pay clients. These clients will not be denied a vaccine if they are unable to pay. For clients who do not wish to bill insurance, the pay-at-the-time-of-service fee is $87 for High-Dose and $44 for Standard quadrivalent.

This convenient clinic would be impossible without the hard-working MCHD staff and the following valuable partners: the Mercer County Medical Reserve Corps Unit, Wright State Lake Campus Nursing Students and Cadets, and Tri Star Career Compact Med Prep students.
