Dustin Devers

(10-8-23) This past week Dustin Devers (37) was arrested on Friday in the theft of a motorcycle in Coldwater that took place on September 21st.

During the investigation Coldwater Police made contact with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and verified that Devers was the person that was seen in a video during the time of the theft. Devers at the time was locaated already incarcerated in the Auglaize County Jail and was interviewed about the theft.

Devers, is being charged with a 4th degree felony Grand Theft of a motor vehicle, and has a Mercer County Common Pleas Court date of October 13th at 10am, he is being held at the Mercer County Adult Detention Center on $50,000 (10%) bail.

In OhioGrand theft is generally a 4th degree felony, which carries a prison sentence of 6 – 18 months and a $5000 fine. If the property stolen was a motor vehicle or firearm, regardless of the value of the item, the offense is grand theft. However, Grand Theft of a motor vehicle is a 4th degree felony and grand theft of a firearm is a 3rd degree felony.
