(9-26-23) Yesterday the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, arrested, Steven Lentz (55). a convicted sexual predator after serving a search warrant at his Sidney home.
Lentz was arrested for a felony of unlawful sexual conduct with a juvenile male from Wapakoneta and is on hold for the adult parole authority and is being held without bond in the Shelby County Jail. Additional charges may be pending.
The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation that showed Lentz having contact with a minor.
On September 3rd, Lentz contacted the juvenile male through social media and made arrangements to meet and transported the juvenile from Wapakoneta to his apartment, then two hours returned the juvenile back to Wapakoneta.
Lentz was recently released from prison on February 23rd, after serving almost 20 years for similar offenses.
