UPDATE-9-17-23 (11:30AM)
On September 17th, 2023 at approximately 12:08 AM, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office and the Bowling Green Police Division received multiple 911 calls about gunshots coming from 528 Monroe Court in Bowling Green. Officers responded to that location and located multiple victims, including one who was found to be deceased. Another victim was transported by air ambulance and was later pronounced deceased. A third victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Xiaosong Wang (62) Bowling Green was taken into custody at that location. He has been charged with two counts of Murder and one count of Felonious Assault. He was transported to the Wood County Justice Center.
The deceased victims were identified as Zhichun Huang (36) Bowling Green) and Bing Luan Lin (40) Bowling Green).
Wang, who reportedly shot the victims with a handgun, was taken into custody without resistance. Because of a language barrier, a translator is being used to aid in the investigation.
