
(9-11-23) Sean Michael Brading (18) of Piqua is dead after a high speed crash in Shelby County early Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. on State Route 66 at Newport Road in Ft. Loramie.
A Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on SR-66. The deputy activated his overhead lights and the vehicle sped up and was out of his visual sight.
As the deputy continued the pursuit he came up on the crash of the vehicle where he found the passenger, Mikael Behr (20) of Piqua, getting out of the vehicle. Brading was still in the vehicle and deputies were able to remove him from the vehicle and they would start rendering first aid. He died later from his injuries.
The crash is being handled by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
