(8-25-23) Today Ft. Recovery is mourning the loss of Joe Bruns (53) who passed away last night after he lost his long battle with cancer. Bruns recently had been a girls golf coach at Ft. Recovery and was also a teacher. The last several years he had been able to coach his daughter Jalyn who was one of the golfers in Mercer County, she now plays college golf at IU East.

Bruns and his wife were given a Surprised 29th Wedding Anniversary on August 20th by their many friends and family—

Bruns didn’t let his cancer slow him down as he remained active—

His friends will miss him—
