(8-23-23) It was Doug Ballinger Night at the Darke County Fair in Greenville on Sunday. Ballinger was honored for his 50 years of calling races at the Darke County Fair. Fans that bought a program received a special edition Doug Ballinger baseball card.

Ballinger is a Celina native who is well known at numerous county fairs for his calling of harness races.
Ballinger won the Ohio Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association Rambling Willie Award this year for the Ohioan who has done the most for harness racing over the past two decades.
