(8-22-23) — Thomas J. Clutter (77) Portland was caught with child pornography on his computer and told police that he gets a “kick” out of child pornography from “the dark web” and has been viewing it for 20 years and “he does not see a problem” with viewing nude, sexual images of children.
Clutter is being charged with possession of child pornography which is a Level 5 felony.
Clutter’s child porn material was discovered in March (2023) by Sergeant Derek Bogenschutz with the Jay County Sheriff’s Department who worked part-time as a computer technician at a Portland business when he was installing RAM on Clutter’s computer.
Clutter has not been arrested but given a summons to appear in court for an initial hearing set for Thursday.
If convicted, Clutter can face between one to six years in prison.
