(8-11-23) Hannah Combs (27) Piqua and David Lynch (19) Urbana have been identified as the drivers who were killed Friday afternoon in a head-on crash at the Miami-Shelby County line that also sent each of their passengers to hospitals.

The crash happened at around 1:50 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 25A and East Miami Shelby Road when Lynch ran a stop sign when he pulled onto County Road 25A.

Combs was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox east on County Road 25A that collided with a 2015 Nissan Rogue that Lynch was driving westbound on East Miami Shelby Road,

Combs and Lynch were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger from Lynch’s vehicle was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by Care Flight and a passenger from Combs’ vehicle was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center. Their injuries are said to be serious.
