Dr. Alexander Mast

(8-10-23) Grand Lake Pediatrics is pleased to announce its newest pediatrician, Dr. Alexander Mast.  Answering a call to the medical profession, Dr. Mast earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from DePaul University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Mast completed his residency in pediatrics at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine.  An American Board of Pediatrics member, his experience includes private practice, newborn rounding in the hospital setting and working in a rural health clinic.

When asked what motivates him, Mast replied-

“I enjoy various aspects of being a doctor: problem-solving, constantly learning, showing compassion to those who need it, and helping to heal.”

When discussing his decision to specialize in pediatrics, Mast explains-

“I want my patients and their parents to feel like they are in good hands: that they have a doctor that works hard for each patient, listens well, and explains well, and I want them to feel confident in my assessment and plan for their problems.”

All Grand Lake pediatricians are Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).  They have undergone specialized training that equips them to effectively meet the ever-changing needs of their young patients.

Dr. Mast is accepting new patients and offering flexible hours in St. Marys and Celina.  To schedule an appointment please call 419-394-9579.
