(7-31-23) On July 21, the Zahn-Marion Township Library completed its 2023 summer reading program, “All Together Now” with a party to celebrate held at the Marion Local Elementary gym in Maria Stein.

The top two readers in grades one through five were announced at the party.  They are first-grade – Myles Homan with 1,450 points and Teddy Siefring with 1,370 points; second grade – Isaac Redd with 4,542 points and Jade Millis with 2,630 points; third-grade – Zachary Millis with 3,160 points and Trayson Stachler with 2,960 points; fourth-grade – Noah Tobe with 1,525 points and Max Timmerman with 1,310 points; fifth-grade – Andrew Millis with 3,370 points and Charlie Siefring with 2,170 points.  The top readers each received an “All Together Now” t-shirt for their accomplishment.

Entertainment at the party was provided by Madcap Puppets.

The program concluded with prizes, awards and certificates for all the summer reading participants.  Everyone was congratulated for all their hard work. 

The library would like to thank the Chickasaw Fire Department for providing fire truck rides to children going into grades 1 thru 5 that reached 350 points or more and the Marion Township Trustees for allowing us to put a scavenger hunt along the bike path again this year and everyone who participated in it.
