Diana Rose

(7-26-23) Mark your calendars August 18, 19, & 20, the Sidney Historical Theatre is performing the classic theatrical masterpiece Phantom of the Opera. Local Coldwater resident Diana Marie Rose has the honor of portraying lead “Christine Daae”. Diana graduated in 2020 from Coldwater High School and began her Musical Theatre studies in NYC at Molloy University/CAP21. After her Freshman year she transferred to Capital University Conservatory of Music where she will be a rising senior this fall, pursuing her Bachelors of Music in Vocal performance:Opera/Musical Theatre with a minor in Theatre.

Playing Christine Daae is a dream role for Diana as she recalls singing “Think of Me” and “Wishing you Were Somehow Here Again” in her elementary talent shows at Coldwater. She is thrilled that the Sidney Historical Theatre Directors have entrusted her this opportunity to come full-circle in her dream of playing this role. Diana confesses with a laugh…

“It still seems so surreal. As we are blocking out the show, the director will call for Christine to come from stage right, and I have to pause and remember THAT’S ME!”

From the pining Raoul, and eccentric Carlotta, to the mysterious Phantom, this cast will keep you at the edge of your seats. Diana is beyond thrilled to be performing alongside these talented actors and the Sidney Dance Company! She invites (and implores) everyone to come see the show in August!
