(7-20-23) Today a Jay Circuit Court jury deliberated for less then an hour in finding Chelsea Crossland (28) Portland guilty in the March, 2022 death of her 5-year son Christian and recommended a life sentence without parole for murder and neglect of a dependent resulting in death be issued.
Crossland did not testify in her own defense.
Crossland will be officially sentenced by Jay Circuit Court Judge Brian Hutchison at 11 a.m. on August 24th.

Christian Crossland, age 5, a resident of Portland, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at his home in Portland.
Christian was born on July 12, 2016 in Muncie, the son of Chelsea Crossland.
