(7-9-23) After a 16 hour stand-off Mark Seffernick (59) Lima surrendered to Lima Police at 4 p.m. Sunday after barricading himself in his residence at 1008 E. Albert St. just after midnight.

According to the Lima Police –

“White male surrendered early this evening; approximately at 1:30 AM he fired shots at officers. No officers were injured. SWAT and hostage negotiation team were deployed as he had barricaded himself inside 1008 E. Albert St.

We later learned that his wife was hiding inside of the residence unbeknownst to him. Eventually she was released. We were assisted by the Allen County and OSHP SWAT. He is currently in custody and being held at the Allen County Jail.”
