(7-5-23) The Burkettsville Fire Department was called out around midnight to the report of a machine shed on fire. The building and contents were all lost. The fire was located on the 1400 block of Township Line Road. The investigation will continue to determine the cause of the fire.

Burkettsville Fire Department:

“Last night we were dispatched at 11:55PM to a machine shed fully engulfed.

We were able to keep the fire from spreading to other nearby structures, and were back in station with everything cleaned by 3:30AM.

We would like to say thank you to our mutual aid departments, St Henry Volunteer Fire Department , Southwest Mercer Fire District , North Star Community Fire Department, and Rossburg Fire Department, with the fire ground and water supply operations.

Thank you to Midwest Electric for arriving to help with a power line that was laying on the ground when we arrived.
