COLUMBUS (7-4-23) — The Ohio Public Works Commission has announced that over $331 million has been released for local government infrastructure projects throughout the state.

The projects have approved based on factors such as “health and safety, age and condition and number of users,” according to a release from the commission. The $331 million allocation will cover 600 projects throughout the state.

The largest share of the projects center around –

  • roads ($206.5 million)
  • water supply infrastructure ($54.2 million)
  • wastewater infrastructure ($34 million)
  • bridges and culverts ($27.2 million)
  • stormwater ($9.2 million)

The OPWC says the funds can be distributed as grants or loans.
