(6-23-23) Yesterday at 7:34 am Van Wert County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Pleasant Township after receiving a complaint of a subject driving aggressive, when the subject passed the complainant, they pointed a gun at the driver.

The suspect was identified as Robert E Ainsworth (27) of Van Wert and later was located in Allen County Ohio.

Ainsworth was returned to the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office where he was arrested and charged with Aggravated Menacing and was taken to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.
