(6-18-23) A new Facebook group was started recently to discuss the upcoming Small Town Pride-Celina Drag Show will take place June 24, 12-7 p.m. at Lakeshore Park this weekend. Needless to say it is quite active.
Description of the group –
Exposing Small Town Pride and their harmful agenda.
According to Hanz Meier, who oversees the site he says:
Kyle Bruce stated that he will NOT provide the real names of these men who want to be so close to our children. You are not entitled to know.
Kyle Bruce continues to defend last year’s drag show. He assures us this year’s drag show will also be “family friendly.”
Bruce is running as a Democrat in the upcoming Celina City Council primary.
In a statement to a recent WHIO TV , Celina Democrat City Council Member Eric Lochtefeld said-
“The Pride group is making sufficient compromises people find all sorts of things offensive if you don’t want to go don’t go.”

I would hate to be the one standing in front of God on judgement day trying to defend my reasonings for Gay pride day plus having a bunch of perverts parading in front of children .My heart is broken that the men on city council are allowing this horrible disgusting parade to continue. Shame on you Eric Baltzell,Myron Buxton,Calvin Scott, Tom Wale for not speaking out .Shame on you Mayor Hazel for even allowing this to happen in Celina.I thought you were a good Christian but apparently you haven’t read the Bible. Please it’s not too late to cancel this exhibition of filth.

Oh honey. Who hurt you? You don’t like Pride festivals? Don’t go, sweetie. Not everyone buys into your interpretation of your bible. Live your fantasy, toots. Gay men and women are FREE to live their lives the way they see fit. Don’t want children to see them exercising their right to exist? Then keep your children home. Bigotry is a learned behavior. Stay away from my children.
