(7-20-21) The entire state suffer setbacks in the June unemployment rates released by the State.
Mercer County, who has the 2nd lowest rate in state, but jumped from 2.9% in May to 3.9% in June a 1% increase.
Auglaize County had the seventh-lowest rate in state at, 4.7%, up from May’s 3.7%.

- Shelby 5.4%
- Van Wert 4.9%
- Darke 4.8%
The lowest rate in the state was Holmes County at 3.8%, a 1.2% increase, and the highest rate belonging to three counties…Erie, Jefferson and Meigs counties all at 8.7%.
Statewide, the unemployment rate was 5.2 percent, compared to the national average of 5.9 percent.
