(6-12-19) Kathryn Unrast (55) of St. Henry was sentenced this afternoon in Shelby County Common Pleas Court from a fatal traffic accident that happened in June of last year. Unrast had admitted during the trial that she was shopping online on her cell phone while driving when she struck a tractor on State Route 29 in Shelby County. The tractor driver, John Fullenkamp (36) of Ft. Loramie and a father of four small children (Eliza, Henry, Molly and Greta ) was killed.
Unrast pleaded no contest in April to a charge of attempted aggravated vehicular homicide a fourth-degree felony, submitted during her final pretrial hearing. Unrast originally faced a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide, a third-degree felony.

Unrast was sentenced to 90 days in jail and her license was suspended for a period of 3 to 5 years. Unrast will have work privileges after 180 days. She was also fined 500 dollars and will have to retake the test for her license when her suspension ends.
