(1-31-19) The Darke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death of inmate Roy R. Spurling (26) Arcanum who was being held at the Darke County Criminal Justice Center.

Spurling was found hanging in his cell during jail checks last night (Wednesday) at 11:04 p.m. Correctional staff and Greenville Rescue were unsuccessful in trying to resuscitate Spurling..
