(5-16-18) Long-time Celina Middle School Principal Ann Esselstein has been an inspiration to many facing cancer. Her school has featured a mini Relay For Life for many years. Today during that event she was surprised by students and teachers when she received a very special phone call during the event.
Esselstein, who was a star guard in high school at Parkway in the mid-1980’s, is a huge fan of Duke Head Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski, known lovingly by many as Coach K. Today Coach K showed why he is a special man and why Esselstein is a big Blue Devil Fan. The two talked for over five minutes (listen above) while students, teachers and cancer survivors listened in.
It was a very special day for Ann Esselstein thanks to Coach K.
