(12-7-24) At 8:46 PM Friday night, American Township Fire Department was dispatched to 3293 W. State Road for a vehicle vs. mobile home crash. Upon arrival, one vehicle was found under a porch of a mobile home with one female occupant. That driver was transported to Mercy Health St. Rita’s Lima with serious but non life-threatening injuries. There was one occupant inside the trailer that was uninjured.

The vehicle had gone off the road and struck a mailbox, power pole, landscaping, and a parked vehicle before coming to rest against the residence. When striking the parked (unoccupied) vehicle, that was pushed into the trailer, moving it nearly a foot. The power pole was completely broken and Midwest Electric arrived to replace the pole.

The Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
